Alaska PFD Eligibility Requirements & Guidelines to Apply for Deceased Applicants

Do you know that you can apply for the Alaska PFD Stimulus for a loved one who recently left you? The Alaskan residents can apply for the stimulus check for a deceased person. Guidelines to Apply for Deceased Applicants for PFD Stimulus

The following are the eligibility requirements and guidelines for applying for PFD on behalf of a deceased applicant. Please note that an Estate Representative can submit a PFD application if the deceased applicant:

  • Died during the qualifying year after having been an Alaska resident for at least 180 days (if he/she died between June 29 and December 31).
  • Fulfills the other eligibility criteria for the current year’s dividend.
  • Received the previous year’s dividend (dividend before the qualifying year).

OR if the deceased person

  • Died during the application period (January 1st to March 31st).
  • Must not have applied for the current year’s PFD already.
  • Fulfills the other eligibility requirements.

Guidelines for the Estate Representative

The personal Estate representative must provide:

  • A copy of an affidavit or a legal court document in which the representative is named as the personal representative of the estate. 
  • A copy of the adult’s death certificate is required with the application.

Note: Find the current year’s Estate Adult and Child applications here. The Estate application must be submitted by March 31.
